Michael Stroka, also known as Mike G. Stroka, was a talented actor who had a passion for movies from a young age. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he was forced to move to Garfield with his family when he was in second grade.
As a child, Michael found solace in his imagination and used it to cope with the move. He would often escape into his own little world, and this is what ultimately led him to decide to become an actor.
Michael's love for movies was evident, and he would often attend movie matinées on Saturdays with his friends. They would reenact the stories they had just watched, and Michael would often play the role of "Dracula" when he was just 9 years old.
After completing his education at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, Michael moved to California to pursue his dream of becoming a movie star. He started his career by working on stage and soon found work in films. His early stage appearances included "The Man" at the Santa Monica Playhouse, and he appeared in several TV classics, including "The Twilight Zone" and "Combat!".
Michael's breakthrough role came when he was cast on the supernatural soap opera "Dark Shadows" in the late 1960s. He remained on the show for a year and a half, becoming a teen idol and appearing in various magazines, including "Flip" and "16".
Throughout his career, Michael appeared in several TV shows and movies, including "The Edge of Night", "Contract on Cherry Street", and "Harlem Nights". He also guest-starred on cult classic TV shows like "Wonder Woman" and "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century".
Sadly, Michael passed away in 1997 after a long battle with cancer. Despite his untimely passing, he left behind a legacy as a talented actor who had a passion for his craft.
