Michael Rogers' biography spans over five decades in the film, television, and theater industries. He started his career in the early 1970s as a community theater performer, soon expanding his roles to stage manager and technical supervisor.
Rogers' theater experience included numerous musicals, and he also worked as a medic before furthering his studies in Medical and Paramedical Technology at Central Washington University and University of Alaska, Anchorage.
In the 1980s, he became the Co-producer and Master of Ceremonies for a San Francisco Performing Arts and Dance Company, touring internationally and performing on the Princess Cruise Lines.
In 1983, Rogers moved to Los Angeles, where he appeared in numerous commercials, films, and television shows, and expanded his resume to include film production.
He then worked with a personal management company, helping to organize tours, personal appearances, music videos, and recordings for name artists.
In 1991, Rogers accepted an opportunity to produce a music festival in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and went on to co-direct and co-edit six music videos shot in the country.
During his time in Prague, he helped establish a new company as an international distribution and sales representative, and was involved with local expat theater groups.
Rogers co-produced and co-edited two segments of "Na Vlastni Oci" for Nova Television, the first private television station in Prague, and was involved with the start-up of a concert company, working with many name artists and groups.
He was the Prague Production Manager for Pink Floyd's show at Strahov Stadium, supervising over 500 local personnel and attending to over 180,000 fans.
Rogers was introduced to a Canadian/Czech company in 1994, initially hired for a lead role in one of their films, and went on to become the company's Production Manager and Line Producer.
Since moving to Vienna in 2005, he has worked constantly as an English language trainer and dialogue coach, while also making numerous appearances in European film productions, often doubling as Line Producer and/or Production Manager.
