Michael Patrick Lane, a talented and rising star in the film and television industry, has made a name for himself with his captivating performances. Born in College Station, Texas, Lane is the oldest of two children, with his mother being an elementary school teacher and his father a retired courier. He and his brother spent most of their childhood involved in theater and sports, with Lane becoming a Junior Nationalist swimmer at the age of 12 and performing in over 30 shows.
As a teenager, Lane's passion for acting only grew stronger, and he went on to become an award-winning stage actor with over 100 regional shows under his belt. By the time he was 17, he was ranked top 5 in the entire state of Texas as a Bass II in choir, earning him multiple scholarships and the prestigious spot as an All-State Choir member.
Lane's early twenties marked a significant turning point in his career, as he decided to pursue his dreams professionally. He trained with Kathryn Gately at Northern Illinois University, which led him to New York City, where he continued his studies with Anthony Abeson, Cay Michael Patten, and The Barrow Group. After several years of working in the NYC theater scene and landing smaller roles on TV, Lane got his big break with the supporting lead role of Earle Hutchins in Sun Records, directed by Oscar-nominated Roland Joffe and Emmy-winning producer Lesly Greif.
Now, Lane currently resides in Los Angeles and Atlanta, working as an actor both domestically and internationally. He recently wrapped a leading role opposite Gary Dourdan and Robert Knepper in The Moderator, filmed in Morocco, which marks his second collaboration with H-Films after the success of their first film together, Paramount Pictures' Redemption Day with Andy Garcia.
With several films in post-production and gearing up to sell his first TV show as a writer, Lane is undoubtedly a talented and ambitious individual with a bright future ahead of him.
