Biography

Michael Palin is a multifaceted English personality, boasting an impressive repertoire of skills as a comedian, actor, writer, and television presenter. His illustrious career has been marked by his association with the renowned comedy group Monty Python, whose television series came to a close in 1974.

Following the conclusion of Monty Python, Palin collaborated with fellow member Terry Jones on Ripping Yarns, a sporadic television comedy series that aired over a period of three years from 1976. In 1980, Palin co-authored the screenplay for Time Bandits, a critically acclaimed film that he also appeared in. This creative partnership was further cemented when Palin reunited with Terry Gilliam in 1984 to feature in the dystopian comedy Brazil.

Palin's impressive filmography also includes a notable performance in the 1988 comedy A Fish Called Wanda, which earned him the prestigious BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
