Mike, a native of Santa Monica, California, spent his childhood at the beach, where he developed a passion for surfing, skateboarding, and beach gymnastics by the Santa Monica pier. By the time he was 12 years old, he had already achieved impressive accolades as a top award-winning AAU Jr Olympic Diver and professional dancer, mastering various styles such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Flamenco, Hindu, and Polynesian.
As a young teenager, Mike began working for Disney as Mowgli in the Christmas Parade and continued to work with the company for many years, taking on various roles, including Mickey Mouse, Pinocchio, and others. He also started taking acting and voice classes, solidifying his decision to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
Growing up, Mike was an avid surfer and one of the early, innovative trend-setting skateboarders from Santa Monica/Venice, also known as "Dogtown." He would often surf in the morning, ski in the afternoon, and skateboard at night, which led to his exploration of various outdoor sports, including rock climbing, roller blading, snowboarding, mountain biking, motorcycles, horses, and more.
This diverse range of experiences ultimately influenced his decision to pursue a career in stunt work, which has been a natural and rewarding transition. Mike is a talented individual who loves to act, dance, and sing, and is always eager to do so at a moment's notice.
In his personal life, Mike married his long-time friend, Marisa, in 1983, and they have two stepsons, David and Kristopher. Mike and Marisa have known each other since kindergarten and have remained extremely close. They are proud parents of nine grandchildren - Liliana, Marisa, Anthony, Kris, Robert, Keoni, Koa, Danilo, and Saulo - and four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Olivia, Blake, and Kayley.
