Michael Moschen, a renowned juggler, grew up in Greenfield, Massachusetts, alongside Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller, his next-door neighbor. This proximity likely contributed to his introduction to juggling at the tender age of 12.
Michael's early career saw him collaborate with Penn, and the duo secured professional jobs at an amusement park for a summer. Following this, his self-discipline led him to drop out of high school, as he felt he wasn't learning how to teach himself. Instead, he chose to home-school himself, honing his skills as a street performer.
In 1977, Michael joined the Big Apple Circus, where he remained a founding member until 1980. He then went on to revolutionize the art of juggling, pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible. Unlike most jugglers, who typically use three balls, Michael created a ten-foot triangle, within which he expertly bounced the balls around his body.
Intrigued by the fragility of crystal balls, Michael dedicated countless hours to studying and practicing, eventually developing a method of rolling them over his hands, making them appear to float before him. To minimize his own presence and draw attention to his props, he adopted a blank expression and wore dark clothing.
Michael's relentless pursuit of innovation has led him to explore various disciplines, including architecture, carpentry, dance, martial arts, and acrobatics. Throughout his 24-year career, he has traveled the world, yet prefers to spend time at home with his wife, Danielle Mailer, and their daughter, Isabella.
