Michael Leavy was born with a passion for filmmaking, a dream that began as soon as he learned what a movie was. It didn't take long for this dream to become a reality, as he started shooting and editing his own films at an early age, honing his craft with each passing year. From his early days of using a makeshift credit roll made from a paper-towel roll to mastering Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, his dedication to his craft has never wavered.
Michael's talent and drive led him to nearly single-handedly run his high school's television studio, where he anchored the morning show and created a plethora of skits and short films, setting a record for the studio's history. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in TV & Film from Saint John's University and furthered his knowledge by taking graduate classes.
In 2010, Michael co-founded Fuzz on the Lens Productions with his brother Jason Leavy and Steven DellaSalla. The production company gained worldwide recognition in 2014 with their viral "Staten Island Clown" publicity stunt. Michael's directing and producing credits include the comedy/fantasy film "Abnormal Attraction," starring Malcom McDowell, Gilbert Gottfried, Tyler Mane, Leslie Easterbrook, and Bruce Davison, who is an Academy Award nominee.
Michael is perhaps most famous for his role as "Will the Exterminator" in the cult classic original "Terrifier." He also served as a producer and assistant director on the Top 10 Box Office success, "Terrifier 2." Currently, Michael is directing and producing Fuzz on the Lens Productions' next horror feature, "Stream," which boasts an impressive cast of horror icons, including Jeffrey Combs, Danielle Harris, Tony Todd, Tim Reid, Dee Wallace, Daniel Roebuck, Felissa Rose, Dave Sheridan, Mark Holton, Damian Maffei, and David Howard Thornton, who plays the infamous Art the Clown.
