Biography

Michael Damian is a multifaceted artist with a distinguished career spanning multiple mediums. His impressive resume includes starring roles in television, film, and theater, as well as his work as a writer, director, and producer.

In television, Damian is perhaps best known for his eighteen-year run as Danny Romalotti on the award-winning daytime drama, The Young and the Restless. He has also made recurring appearances on The Facts of Life.

On the big screen, Damian has written and directed twelve films, including the High Strung dance film franchise, with the second installment, High Strung Free Dance, starring Thomas Doherty and Jane Seymour, and co-written, directed, and produced by Damian himself. He has also directed three films for 20th Century Fox, including Flicka 2, Flicka: Country Pride, starring Clint Black, and Marley & Me: The Puppy Years.

Damian's theater credits include his starring turn in the title role of the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which broke box office records in both Los Angeles and on Broadway and earned him a Grammy nomination.

In addition to his work in front of and behind the camera, Damian is also a talented musician. He has released five albums and has had eight Top 40 hits, including the #1 single "Rock On," which earned him gold records worldwide. He has also won the BMI Song-writing Award for his hit single "Was It Nothing At All" and has written and produced tracks on various soundtracks, including Flicka 2 & 3, Marley & Me: The Puppy Years, and A Princess For Christmas.

Furthermore, Damian has co-written, directed, and produced several films, including the holiday romantic comedy A Princess For Christmas, starring Sam Heughan and Roger Moore, and the indie crime comedy Hot Tamale. He has also served as the Co-writer/Director/Producer of the feature film Moondance Alexander, released by 20th Century Fox, and wrote and directed the two romantic comedies, The Sweeter Side Of Life and Love By Design.

As a testament to his versatility and range, Damian has been recognized with numerous nominations and awards throughout his career, including a Grammy nomination for his work on Broadway.
