Mike, a highly accomplished and multifaceted individual, currently holds the esteemed position of screenwriting professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he imparts his valuable knowledge and expertise to aspiring screenwriters. Possessing both an MFA in screenwriting and a Doctorate in Leadership, Mike's academic credentials are truly impressive. Prior to his academic pursuits, Mike had a distinguished career in the Navy, where he served at the prestigious Naval Academy, before retiring and turning his attention to the world of screenwriting. Mike's passion for writing extends far beyond the realm of screenplays, as he is also an accomplished novelist, having published his debut novel, The Virus Chronicles, in 2015. In addition to his work as a writer, Mike has also ventured into the realm of filmmaking, producing several independent films and directing feature-length projects. Despite his many accomplishments, Mike's true love remains building worlds from scratch on the blank page, a testament to his boundless creativity and imagination. A native New Yorker, Mike has made North Carolina his primary residence, where he continues to nurture his artistic talents and inspire the next generation of writers.
