Melissa, a true Army Brat, was born in Lexington, Kentucky, but her early life was marked by a nomadic existence, as her family moved extensively throughout the world. Her father, a dedicated social worker, spent over two decades serving in the Army, while her mother, a medic in the Women's Army Corp, shared her experiences in Germany during the late 1970s.
As her parents' careers continued to take them to new destinations, Melissa's family found themselves stationed in South Korea, Germany, and various states across the United States. This extensive travel ultimately led them to settle in San Antonio, Texas, where Melissa now resides.
Melissa's early passion for the performing arts was evident from her days on stage, and she went on to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in theater. While she still enjoys the thrill of live theater, her true affection lies in working on film, where she has had the opportunity to showcase her skills in a variety of genres, including action comedies, dramas, suspense thrillers, and comedies.
In addition to her acting pursuits, Melissa is also a talented writer, penning both stage and screenplays. Her creative energy extends beyond the realm of words, as she is also an accomplished painter. When not honing her craft, Melissa can be found indulging in her favorite hobbies, including dancing, reading, and practicing yoga.
