Melinda was born at home during a snowstorm on February 7th in StonyBrook, Long Island, where her originally German mother, having relocated to this location, had decided to welcome her into the world. At the tender age of five, Melinda's mother, driven by a strong desire to reconnect with her German heritage, made the bold decision to return to Hamburg, taking her young daughter along with her.
As Melinda grew, she attended a private school until the age of ten, where she was nurtured in a structured environment that fostered her intellectual and creative development. However, she soon returned to New York, where she continued her education at a private school until the age of thirteen.
It was during this period that Melinda first discovered her passion for acting, and she was enrolled in improvisation classes, which served as the catalyst for her future endeavors in the world of performing arts. At the age of thirteen, Melinda made the bold decision to relocate to Boston, where she attended various acting workshops, scene study, and improv groups at Tufts University.
For six months, Melinda attended Arlington High School, her only enrollment at a public school, which provided her with a unique opportunity to experience a different educational environment. During this time, she also began modeling, which further expanded her creative horizons.
As Melinda entered her teenage years, she returned to Hamburg and completed her high school education. She was an active member of a youth theater group and consistently performed, honing her craft and developing her confidence as a performer. During this period, she also spent three months in Paris, where she performed in a French play, further broadening her cultural and linguistic skills.
At the age of nineteen, Melinda was accepted into the Film Acting School Cologne, where she graduated in February 2007. Shortly after, she was cast as the female lead in Perfect Hideout, which motivated her to return to the United States and brought her to Los Angeles, California, marking the beginning of her journey as a professional actress in Hollywood.
