Biography

Mel Rodriguez is a renowned writer/director, celebrated for his work on the indie dark comedy "In Stereo", which boasts an impressive cast including Beau Garrett and Micah Hauptman.

Originally hailing from the Lone Star State, Rodriguez began his journey in the world of independent filmmaking in Austin, Texas. His earliest credits include editing the 2004 indie feature "Drop Dead Sexy", a dark comedy that stars Jason Lee and Crispin Glover.

As his career continued to flourish, Rodriguez went on to accumulate an impressive portfolio of film editing work, ultimately culminating in a prestigious Grand Jury Prize win at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009 for the documentary "We Live in Public".

In the following year, Rodriguez took the bold step of founding Insomniac Content, a digital creative agency where he has honed his skills as a director, working with top agencies and renowned global brands such as Toyota, Google, Wells Fargo, and American Express, among others.

Currently, Rodriguez is hard at work developing his second feature, "Nasty Habits", a crime thriller set in his native Southwest Texas, where he draws inspiration from his surroundings and personal experiences.
