Megan Frances grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, where she began her passion for acting and entertainment at a young age. She performed in school plays and musicals, and as she grew older, her passion only intensified.
She started her professional career touring the Midwest with the Kids Matter National Theatre show, "The Art of Making Choices," which taught kids how to say "no" to drugs and alcohol. Her next notable role was in the film "The Rest of Your Life" (2001),which won awards at the Angelciti Film Festival and the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
After that, she landed a featured part in the short-lived TV series "What About Joan" (2000),starring Joan Cusack. In 2004, Megan moved to Los Angeles, California, and attended the New York Film Academy's one-year acting conservatory program at Universal Studios.
During her time at the academy, she landed a role in "Girl with an Accent" (2005),which won the Silver Award at the Mumbai International Film Festival. After graduation, Megan continued to work in film, television, and theater, performing in various productions, including "The Insomniac Series," "The Open Door," and "Lakewood's Twilight Zone."
Megan was a regular performer at No Shame theatre, Los Angeles, where she also wrote and directed several of her own pieces. She made a cameo in "Silent Night, Zombie Night" (2009) and worked on "The Human Race" (2013) before joining the Orange County theater scene.
She landed the lead role in the musical "The Green Room" and then went on to join the cast of two different productions of "RENT" in Fullerton, California, and La Habra, California. Megan appeared on the karaoke competition show "Killer Karaoke" (2012) hosted by Mark McGrath and performed in two different productions of "Hairspray" in 2015.
In 2016, Megan brought "Hott Line" to the Hollywood Fringe Festival as writer, director, producer, and actor. She then went on to play "Jan" in "Grease" before shooting two episodes for Season 3 of "The Price of Fame" (2016).
Megan was a member of Shine! LA's Youth Theater, a company that performs family-oriented, literature-based material, until they relocated outside of Los Angeles. She performed in their productions of "Charlotte's Web the Musical," "A Christmas Story," "Robin Hood the Musical," and "Cinderella the Musical."
Having fun creating and playing interesting, over-the-top characters, Megan launched a new YouTube channel in 2016 called "Mondays with Megan" where many of these characters are set to appear.
