Maximo Gianfranco Sorrentino, also known as Frank Joseph Sorrentino, grew up in Staten Island, New York, with a burning passion to perform. At the tender age of eight, he landed the role of young Peter Baker in the cult film Sleepaway Camp (1983). This early start ignited a fire within him, fueling his conviction that he would one day become a star.
As he grew older, Maximo and his family relocated to Manalapan, New Jersey, where he pursued higher education at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance, but his true calling remained in the realm of acting. To hone his craft, he enrolled in the renowned Susan Batson Studio in New York.
Frank Sorrentino's early forays into the entertainment industry led him to appear in several episodes of the popular MTV reality series Jersey Shore (2009). His connection to the show stemmed from his younger brother, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. This exposure paved the way for his return to television with the family-centric series "The Sorrentinos" (2014) on TVGN/Pop Network and TV Guide Network.
"The Sorrentinos" offers a glimpse into the lives of the Sorrentino family as they navigate significant life changes. The show revolves around Melissa, Mike's sister, who is preparing for her wedding and helping her mother, affectionately known as "Peaches," find love. Middle brother Marc is pursuing his passion for music, attempting to make it big as a DJ while also running the family's tanning business. Frank, the eldest, is revisiting his acting roots, a venture he excelled in during his childhood.
The Sorrentino family's bond is put to the test as they face various challenges, but their love and devotion for one another remain unwavering. Maximo's return to acting was marked by appearances in the films Blood Reservoir (2014) and Caesar & Ottos Paranormal Halloween (2014). He also made celebrity guest appearances on the TV shows "I Killed My BFF" on LMN-Lifetime and "Say Yes to That Dress" on TLC Network, Season 13, Episode 3.
The Sorrentino family's reality TV journey continued with their appearance on the Wendy Williams show (2014). The family celebrated Melissa's wedding in Season 14, Episode 19 of "Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day" on TLC Network (2016). Maximo's theatrical endeavors included a three-season stint in the NYC Off-Broadway play "My Big Gay Italian Funeral" (2015).
In 2017, Maximo returned to reality television alongside his brothers, Michael and Marc, in the extreme relationship therapy show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars: Family Edition on WEtv. The show aimed to help the brothers preserve their bond before it's too late.
