Max was born in the nation's capital and spent his formative years in the Prince George's county public school system, where he was a proud member of the Hyattsville Middle School county championship winning Science Bowl Team.
He later transferred to a DC prep high school, where he redirected his focus towards athletics, achieving remarkable success in the city wrestling championships at the 171 lb weight class in both his junior and senior years, despite wrestling with a broken ankle.
At the tender age of 17, Max made the bold decision to relocate to NYC to pursue his BFA from NYU Tisch, and shortly after, he began working professionally in commercials, TV, theatre, and film.
Drawing from his diverse NYC experiences, which included working as a bike messenger, HVAC technician, bus mechanic, and numerous other side jobs, Max brings an unparalleled level of depth and verisimilitude to his characters.
Despite his impressive proficiency in a wide range of languages and his remarkable command of dialects, Max is perhaps best known for his captivating portrayals of villains, including his iconic performance as Jeremy Jones in the hit series Law and Order SVU and his chilling depiction of the cold-blooded biker, Dawson, in the upcoming film, Freaky Tales, starring Pedro Pascal, Tom Hanks, and Jack Champion.
