Matthew's formative years unfolded amidst the sun-drenched backdrop of Australia, where a cinematic diet rich in espionage-filled adventures of the debonair James Bond, the mind-bending twists and turns of television thrillers that captivated the noughties, and the thought-provoking documentary storytelling of the renowned filmmaker Errol Morris played a significant role in shaping his early years.
Matthew's educational journey took him to the esteemed New York University Film School, where he had the extraordinary opportunity to learn from and be guided by two renowned filmmakers, Oliver Stone and Todd Solondz, both of whom are highly respected within the industry for their innovative storytelling and cinematic vision.
After honing his skills under the mentorship of these accomplished professionals, Matthew went on to conceptualize and produce his debut feature documentary, titled THE OTHER FELLOW, a project that marked the beginning of his career as a filmmaker.
Currently, Matthew is a London-based individual who is actively involved in the creation of a highly secretive, Moroccan-themed thriller, in addition to his next documentary endeavour, which is aptly titled ETHANOL.
