Matteo Stefan's early years were marked by a passion for high-level hockey, serving as captain for the North Shore Winter Club Bantam AAA team before being scouted by the Victoria Grizzlies of the British Columbia Hockey League.
As a 16-year-old, preparing for his first BCHL season, Matteo made the bold decision to walk away from hockey to pursue a career in acting, a path he had initially explored as a young child actor.
However, it wasn't until his late high school years that he discovered a genuine love for film and television, prompting him to balance his newfound passion with the desire to obtain a post-secondary education.
In 2014, Matteo's hard work paid off as he was accepted into the prestigious Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, where he pursued an undergraduate degree in Finance while simultaneously building up his TV and film credits.
During his late teens, Matteo slowly but surely accumulated a notable list of credits, including a standout role in the 2017 film "Cocaine Godmother," where he played the eldest son of Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, as well as a guest appearance in the popular TV series "Riverdale" in 2018.
After dedicating years to his education and career, Matteo officially completed his university degree, only to be hired immediately as a junior investment banker.
However, after a brief stint in the corporate world, Matteo returned to his true passion for film and television, and is currently writing his first feature film, which he plans to star in and bring to market sometime late next year.
When he's not pursuing his acting dreams, Matteo is an active investor in the stock market, managing portfolios for both his family and friends.
