Matt's formal education continued at Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey's Clown College, where he studied under the guidance of his uncle, Jon Weiss, a renowned clown and performer who has also appeared on the popular reality TV show, The Amazing Race.
Matt's time at Clown College was marked by a sense of camaraderie, as he was one of only twelve male apprentices to graduate from the program, which is housed at Stephens College for Women.
After completing his education, Matt returned to his native Kansas City, Missouri, where he co-founded The Living Room Theatre and Fishtank Performance Studio, two organizations that have become synonymous with innovative and boundary-pushing performance art.
