Matt Sigloch embarked on a journey in the film and television industry, having graduated with honors from Valley Forge Military Academy, and subsequently retiring from the Marine Corps after 22 years of active duty service as a Master Sergeant. He began his career as a non-union extra, with no connections or guarantees, yet his unwavering dedication and perseverance ultimately led to his acceptance as a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
As he continued to hone his skills, Sigloch transitioned into stunt work, secured an agent, and soon found himself reaping the rewards of his relentless efforts. His breakthrough role on the TV pilot of JAG in 1995 sparked a realization that his extensive military and tactical training could be leveraged in the industry. With this newfound understanding, Sigloch approached the show's creator, director, writer, and executive producer, Donald P. Bellisario, about a position as a Military Technical Advisor.
Donald P. Bellisario was impressed by Sigloch's credentials and hired him, a decision that would prove to be a game-changer. Sigloch remained with JAG for its entire 10-season run, contributing to a total of 227 episodes. Following the conclusion of JAG, Sigloch went on to form Sigloch Military-Tactical (SMTI),a company he serves as CEO, with the primary objective of supporting the military and tactical aspects of film and television productions.
Despite his administrative responsibilities, Sigloch continues to actively pursue his passion for acting and stunt work, a testament to his versatility and adaptability within the industry.
