Born in the historic city of Boston, Massachusetts, Matia Anne Karrell's roots run deep in the Lebanese heritage of her parents. As a young and ambitious individual, she pursued a career in the world of modern dance, enrolling in the esteemed dance program at Harvard University.
Following her academic pursuits, Matia Anne Karrell relocated to the vibrant city of New York, where she continued her dance training and honed her skills. Her talents eventually led her to perform on the esteemed stage of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM),alongside the renowned choreographer and director, Robert Wilson.
