Marty Thomas is a highly accomplished director of feature films, having worked with esteemed studios such as Lionsgate and Starmedia, in addition to his role as co-owner of Ridiculous Pictures Studio LLC, a film production company.
Beyond his work in feature films, Marty has also directed a range of popular national commercials, original series, and promos for prominent media outlets, including NBC/Universal, E! Entertainment, and Amnesty International. One of his most notable projects was filming in Rome for Amnesty International, demonstrating his ability to work on high-profile projects in diverse locations.
Marty's extensive experience in music video direction has resulted in numerous top ten hits during the 1990s, and he continues to direct music videos when time and budget allow. Some of his most memorable shoots have been with renowned artists such as Erika Girardi (Erika Jayne),Chris Rock, Xzibit, Skee-Lo, Tupac Shakur, Eazy-E, MC Ren, Ice Cube, and Craig Mack.
Throughout his career, Marty's work has garnered numerous awards and nominations from prestigious organizations, including the American Grammy Awards, MTV VMA Awards, and Billboard Music Video Awards. In 2017, he was honored by The Daily Telegraph for his "artistic and innovative contributions to the mediums of film and music videos."
Marty's commitment to using his talents for the greater good has also been recognized, as he recently received a Congressional Citation from the United States Congress for allowing his works to be used in fundraising efforts to benefit inner-city youth.
