Mark Swift, a renowned writer, has collaborated with his partner Damian Shannon to create a string of successful films. Their credits include the box office hits "Friday the 13th", which premiered in February 2009, and "Freddy vs. Jason". Additionally, Swift was the first writer on the animated hit "Shark Tale".
The dynamic duo is currently working on several exciting projects. For New Line Cinema, they are developing an original horror film, while for Skydance productions, they are involved in an untitled sci-fi project. Furthermore, they are co-producing "O'Lucky Day", a comedy starring Peter Dinklage, for Paramount Pictures.
Swift and Shannon have also co-written a number of projects currently in development. These projects include "Vikings" for Disney, the 1950s noir "Hawaiian Dick" for director Frank Coraci, and an adaptation of Howard Chaykin's graphic novel "Power & Glory".
The writing partners, Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, met while attending the University of Southern California. Damian went on to graduate from NYU's TISCH School of the Arts, while Mark graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Today, they reside in Los Angeles, California, and are represented by UTA, Magnet Management, and Colden, McKuin & Frankel LLP.
