Mark Janicello is a multifaceted, award-winning American artist, boasting a career spanning over three decades in the entertainment industry. This talented Renaissance man has ventured into various corners of the entertainment universe, showcasing his remarkable range as a singer, actor, and performer.
As a classically-trained operatic tenor, Mark has had the privilege of singing over 40 leading roles in operas and operettas, while concurrently studying acting for a decade with a member of New York City's esteemed Actor's Studio. His stage career began at a tender age of four, when he made his debut as a boy soprano, and he has been performing consistently ever since.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mark has had the opportunity to share the stage, microphone, or screen with a diverse array of legendary performers, including Frank Sinatra, Liza Minelli, Bill Cosby, Chick Corea, Jody Watley, Jon Secada, Rock 'n' Roll pioneer Bo Diddley, Reggae stars Black Uhuru, operatic superstars Cecilia Bartoli, Edita Gruberova, Francisco Araiza, Anna Moffo, and Alfredo Kraus, Tony-Award winners/nominees like Liz Callaway, Debbie Gravitte, Kiril Kulish, and Judy Kaye, as well as Hollywood luminaries Anne Bancroft, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Alec Baldwin, to name a few.
Mark's remarkable talent and versatility earned him the title of "America's Best Street Performer" in 1992, after winning the KFC Musical Feast competition, beating out over 3,000 contestants. His prize-winning performance in Grand Central Station showcased his impressive vocal range and style, blending multiple genres in a unique fusion of Elvis and Pavarotti. This achievement catapulted him onto the entertainment industry map, solidifying his status as a one-of-a-kind artist who defies categorization.
