Mark Brooks is a multifaceted creative individual born in Denver, Colorado, with a storied past in the music industry. As a teenager, he co-founded the influential rap punk band Warlock Pinchers, releasing three full-length albums, numerous singles, and embarking on extensive national tours. Following the disbandment of Warlock Pinchers, Brooks co-founded the band Foreskin 500, which also released three full-length albums, several singles, and toured the country.
After Foreskin 500 ceased touring, Brooks relocated to Los Angeles, where he began to make a name for himself in the film and television industry. His impressive credits include writing and directing the feature film Lil' Pimp, starring the late Bernie Mac and William Shatner, directing The Slim Shady Show, featuring the iconic rapper Eminem, directing the "Fruity Oaty Bars" segment of Joss Whedon's critically acclaimed science fiction film Serenity, writing and directing the horror film Playing With Dolls for the heavy metal band Slayer, and writing and directing the Adult Swim animated series Metalocalypse.
In addition to his work in film and television, Brooks is a talented composer, with his music appearing in a wide range of popular shows, including It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Californication, The Fan, Serenity, Mad Money, Men of a Certain Age, Damages, The Riches, Las Vegas, King Star King, Jersey Shore, and Awkward.
Currently, Brooks is directing the upcoming Comedy Central series Moonbeam City, with his band Night Club composing the show's music.
