Mark A. Pritchard is a BBC-trained writer and film director from Oxford, UK. With a background in directing films for the Energy Industry across 12 countries and 5 continents, he has built a reputation for delivering extraordinary narrative in extreme conditions. Mark's expertise lies in his ability to shoot economically with "everything you can carry in the helicopter," allowing him to create compelling stories despite the challenges he faces.
As a published author, Mark is best known for his novel "Billy Christmas," which was released in the USA in 2012 by Alan Squire Publishing. His writing skills have also been recognized by the BBC Writer's Room, where he won a script call with GROUND RULES for the Reframed Collective in 2017. This achievement was particularly notable, as it was selected from a field of over 500 submitted entries.
Mark has also been involved in the development of early virtual set technology for his original science fiction feature, DEOS NOVOS, in collaboration with Audiomotion Studios Ltd. Most recently, he wrote and directed LIMITED EDITION, which is part of the UK chapter of SINPHONY for Screen Anthology. Dark Sky Films has acquired the first look option on this title, with a planned release in October 2022.
