Marisol Carrere is a multifaceted artist, boasting a remarkable career as a film and stage actress, writer, and producer. She is the founder of CARRERE FILMS INTERNATIONAL, LLC, a testament to her dedication to her craft.
Throughout her impressive filmography, Marisol has collaborated on various projects, including "The Inquisition of Camilo Sanz" with LPZMedia/HBO Latino, "Crack Down Big City Blues" with writer and director Paul De Silva, and "Sex, Love & Salsa" with Adrien Manzano.
In 2021, Marisol brought her talents to "Rin Rin En La Moto" with director Jhon F. Ospina, and "Conscientious Objector" in 2012, where she served as a producer alongside director JW Cortez. Her work on "Garden of Hope" as a producer, directed by Gloria Zelaya, further showcases her versatility.
One of Marisol's most notable projects is "I Am Julia," a film she wrote and produced, directed by David Capurso. This personal and powerful story, which explores her childhood experience with school bullies, earned the 2012 Golden Palm Award at the Miami International Film Festival.
Marisol's dedication to bullying prevention has led her to be recognized as NY1 News' "New Yorker Of The Week." She has presented her film "I Am Julia" and educational program "The I Am Peace Project" in various New York City high schools and community centers, as well as at Colombian film festivals, including Cine del Suroeste Antioqueño-Pueblorico, Cine De Puerto Berrío, and Cine DE Montebello, and in Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles.
On stage, Marisol has made a name for herself in New York theater, with notable performances in "Carmen Pabon Presente!" at the Metropolitan Playhouse, "Sailor" at the Dream Up Festival/Theater For The New City, and "Oh! Yantay" at TeatroStageFest NY. Her impressive list of awards includes Best Actress for "El Mandatario Idiota" with writer and director Walter Ventosilla, "You Always Forget Something" with director Angel Morales, and "Receiving Best Actress Nominations" for "Tide Beyond The Rift" at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, "Q.E.P.D" with director Iván L.
