Marisa Bach was born in Munich, Germany in 1978, given the name Marisa Leonie Bach, and is a distant relative of the renowned composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
As an all-around individual, Marisa underwent classical vocal training, honed her skills in piano and violin, and was raised bilingually in German and English.
She pursued a career in acting, studying from 1998 to 2002 at the prestigious Lee Strasberg School in New York and under the guidance of several German coaches.
Marisa made her feature film debut in 2000 with the role in "Einladung zum Mord" (Invitation for Killing).
In 2003, she gained recognition for her contribution to the screenplay of "Another Point of View".
Her subsequent TV roles included appearances in "Tatort- Der traurige König", "König Drosselbart", "Zwölf Winter", "Schief Gewickelt", and "Flem-ming".
Marisa has continued to write screenplays, with another script co-written with her husband set to be filmed in the near future.
Since 2000, Marisa has been married to actor Ken Duken, with whom she has a son.
The family resides in Berlin, and Marisa took a consistent maternity leave to care for her son, subsequently stepping away from the film industry for a period.
Upon her return, Marisa has appeared in various episodic roles, such as in "Add a Friend", "Soko München", and "23 Cases".
She also played the role of Vera in the Italian production "Max e Hélène".
In 2017, Marisa starred in the thriller "Berlin Falling".
