Mario Kenyon, a talented American producer, hails from the Bay Area, but his journey took him to Southern California to attend the University of Southern California (USC). There, he majored in philosophy, minored in cinematic arts and theater, and graduated with honors. During his final year at USC, Mario discovered his passion for acting and filmmaking.
After graduating from USC, Mario enrolled in the prestigious two-year Meisner conservatory at The Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown, where he refined his craft. This experience not only deepened his understanding of acting but also sparked his interest in working behind the camera.
Within a year of completing the conservatory, Mario produced and directed his first original theatrical production, "The April Project," a remarkable achievement that involved creating, casting, and staging an original play within the month of April. This success marked the beginning of Mario's transition to screen-based productions, including music videos, short films, and features.
In 2015, Mario collaborated with writer/director Adrián García Bogliano on the kidnapping thriller "Scherzo Diabolico," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. He continued his work with Bogliano, serving as Executive Producer on his Swedish horror film "Black Circle." Mario also co-executive produced Xander Robin's "Are We Not Cats," which premiered at the 2016 Venice Film Festival's Settimana Della Critica.
In addition to his film work, Mario has made significant contributions to the immersive media industry. He has had the opportunity to work with esteemed professionals such as Randal Kleiser, director of Grease, and accomplished artist Lena Herzog on her Immersive Oratorio, "Last Whispers," which premiered at Sundance in 2019.
Furthermore, Mario has been teaching at UCLA for the past three years, having created one of the school's first courses on immersive media. Throughout his career, Mario has demonstrated his versatility, adaptability, and dedication to the arts, making him a respected figure in the entertainment industry.
