Marin Hinkle, a talented actress, was born in Tennessee to a family of actors, Mary Jane Harvill and Myke Mueller (Miller). She made her professional stage debut at the tender age of seven with the Nashville Repertory Theatre, and her film debut at the age of ten in Jim Varney's Ernest Scared Stupid, where she was thoroughly attacked by trolls.
Marin's educational background is impressive, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Sewanee University and honing her craft at the prestigious Michael Howard Studios in New York City under the guidance of Fay Simpson and Patsy Rodenburg.
Before transitioning to the screen, Marin enjoyed a successful career in theatre, where she developed a keen sense of timing and honed her skills in front of a live audience. As she notes, "Nothing prepared me for film more than the live audience. They demand honesty, tell you what works, and instruct your timing. In front of the lens, the audience is still with me, in my bones. Their presence is felt."
Marin's television credits include recurring roles as Brenda, the sassy waitress, on CMT's Still The King, as well as voice work for the animated series Veggie Tales. Her additional television appearances include ABC's Blackish, Sundance Channel's Rectify, and various commercials and independent films.
One of Marin's most notable achievements is her self-penned award-winning short film, Whether You Like It Or Not, which earned her the prestigious "Best Actress" award at the L.A. Comedy Festival.
