Biography

Margot Bingham is a critically acclaimed actress and singer/songwriter from Pittsburgh, who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She is perhaps most well-known for her sultry jazz chanteuse portrayal on HBO's "Boardwalk Empire", as well as her hard-driving detective character in the ABC series "The Family", executive produced by Jenna Bans.

Bingham has also showcased her comedic skills alongside Ice Cube in the 2016 spring comedy "Barbershop 3". In recent years, she has taken on leading roles in several films, including "Saturday Church", which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and "Anything", which screened at the LA Film Festival alongside Matt Bomer and John Carroll Lynch. Her first feature film was "Destined", directed by Qasim Basir, and she has also appeared in "Queen Sugar" on the OWN Network, as well as the Netflix series "She's Gotta Have It", directed by Spike Lee.

In addition to her on-screen work, Bingham has also had a successful stage career, appearing in the off-Broadway revival of "Rent", directed by Michael Grief. She has also performed at various venues in New York City, including Rockwood Music Hall and BAM.
