Australian-born actress and dramatist, who tied the knot with Hugh Williams in 1940, going on to bear him three precious children.
Their actor son, Simon Williams, would later marry Belinda Carroll and Lucy Fleming, achieving widespread recognition with the hit television series "Upstairs Downstairs". Meanwhile, their elder son, Hugo, would pursue a career as a poet.
The couple's daughter, Polly, would wed the accomplished actor Nigel Havers and also establish herself as a talented actress and model, adopting the stage name Polly Williams.
Among the numerous plays that she co-wrote with her husband was the critically acclaimed "The Grass is Greener", which was adapted into a film in 1961.
Tragically, she was widowed in 1969, and her life came to a close in 1993.
