Biography of Luca Puccioni:
Luca Puccioni, a renowned filmmaker, graduated in Architecture from Rome, where he later secured a Fulbright scholarship to pursue his passion for film at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles.
His early career in filmmaking was marked by the creation of several short experimental films and documentaries, which laid the foundation for his feature film debut in 2002 with "What you're looking for" (Quello Che Cerchi).
The success of his first feature film paved the way for his second, "Shelter me" (Riparo),which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2007 and went on to tour over 100 festivals worldwide.
In 2009, his feature documentary "The Color of words" (Il Colore delle Parole) competed in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival.
Three years later, his third feature film, "Like the Wind" (Come il Vento),made its premiere at the Rome Film Festival in 2013.
In recent years, Luca has directed several documentaries and co-produced debut features for young filmmakers.
He also wrote and directed "The Invisible Thread" (Il filo invisibile),a Netflix Original dramedy that received widespread acclaim from both critics and the public.
As a respected figure in the film industry, Luca is the President of the filmmakers association "Ring" and co-founder of the writers and director guild "100 autori".
In addition to his work in filmmaking, Luca is also an experienced teacher, having taught at the Fine Arts Academy in Perugia and directing at the Volonté film school in Rome.
