Manuel Mesquita, a multifaceted individual, was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in the year 1977. Despite holding a degree in Social Anthropology, his true passion lay in the realm of cinema, where he has been actively involved since 2002. Throughout his career, Mesquita has showcased his versatility by composing music for films, as well as taking on minor roles in various productions.
One of his most notable collaborations has been with acclaimed filmmaker João Nicolau, who gave him his first leading role in the 2009 film "A Espada e a Rosa". Mesquita has also worked closely with the Portuguese production company O Som e a Fúria, appearing in films by prominent directors such as Miguel Gomes and Sandro Aguilar.
As a multidisciplinary artist, Mesquita's creative endeavors extend far beyond acting and music composition. He has contributed to film production, editing both sound and video, and has even lent his voice to documentaries.
