Mantalena, a renowned Greek actress, has achieved great success in her career, beginning with her academic accomplishments. She received a scholarship to graduate from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York in 2015, after previously earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Mass Media from the Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2013.
Mantalena is also a co-founder of the non-profit theater company Deus Ex Machina New York Theater Group, formerly known as F2T's. Throughout her career, she has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway productions, including the acclaimed show "Anna and Vladimir," for which she received the UNESCO award in 2016.
In addition to her work in the American theater scene, Mantalena has a strong presence in the Greek Community Theater, where she has collaborated with the Greek Cultural Center on various productions, such as "Tied Red Thread," "Sons and Daughters," "The Interview," and "The Spitting Image of the Departed."
Mantalena's film career is equally impressive, with appearances and starring roles in multiple indie productions. Some of her notable film credits include "5 Cents a Piece," which was selected by the Sparrow Film Project to be screened at the Museum of Moving Image, and "Unfinished Business," which was an official selection at the New York International Film Festival. Her most recent film credit is the feature film "Precious and Few," which is currently in post-production.
