Mahnaz Afshar, a talented individual, was born on June 11, 1977, in the vibrant city of Tehran. Her academic background in natural science was a precursor to her future endeavors. Following her high school graduation, a family relative, who was the Theater Affairs Assistant at "Soureh" college, introduced her to the prestigious "Hannaneh" Art institute. Under the guidance of the institute, Mahnaz pursued video editing and honed her skills in the craft. Her early career was marked by her involvement in the assembly of training materials for "Ketabe Avval," directed by the renowned Darioush Mehrjooii.
Mahnaz's breakthrough in the television industry came when she was invited by Miss. Shamsi Fazl Elahi to star in the TV series "Gomshodeh" (Lost),directed by the accomplished Mr. Masud Navaii. This marked her official debut in the TV industry. Her subsequent film appearance was in "Friends" (2000),directed by Mr. Abdollah Eskandari. Although the film was not released in theaters due to creative differences with the authorities, it laid the groundwork for her future success.
Mahnaz's debut in the film industry came with the critically acclaimed "Shoure Eshgh" (Passion of Love),which garnered widespread acclaim from both audiences and critics. Her subsequent roles in "Cease Fire" (2006) and "Season Salad" (2005) solidified her position as a leading actress in Iranian cinema.
