Noted Malayalam film personality of the 1960s and 1970s, renowned for his captivating on-screen presence and versatility in playing complex characters.

Following his academic pursuits, he earned a degree from the prestigious Benares Hindu University, subsequently bolstering his skills with a diploma in acting from the esteemed National School of Drama.

Throughout his illustrious career, he consistently portrayed the poignant and suffering lover, effortlessly conveying a sense of vulnerability and depth to his characters.

His breakthrough role came with the critically acclaimed film Chemmeen (1965),which cemented his status as a character actor of repute. Thereafter, he consistently featured in numerous independent productions, solidifying his position as a respected figure in the Malayalam film industry.

He made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film Priya (1970),which garnered widespread acclaim for its thought-provoking narrative and masterful direction.
