Lynsey is a renowned filmmaker from Scotland, boasting a successful career in the industry. She has directed several notable episodes, including episodes 3 and 4, as well as the closing episodes of the BBC's summer hit series, THE TURKISH DETECTIVE, for Miramax and Paramount+. Additionally, she has directed two episodes of Apple's upcoming series, SURFACE S2, for Hello Sunshine.
Prior to these projects, Lynsey directed the 3-part drama ANNE BOLEYN (2021) for Sony. Her previous work includes the BAFTA-nominated 4-part drama DEADWATER FELL (2020) and single dramas DOING MONEY (2018) and THE BOY WITH THE TOPKNOT (2017).
DOING MONEY received numerous awards, including Best Narrative Feature at several prestigious film festivals, such as Greenpoint Brooklyn, Construir Cine Buenos Aires, Harlem Film Festival, Bahamas International Film Festival, and Desert Edge Film Festival Rajasthan. It also won Best Picture and Best Director at the Phoenix Film Festival in Arizona and the Golden Sphinx Grand Prix and Best Director at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Furthermore, DOING MONEY was nominated for Best Single Drama at both the RTS and Broadcast Awards. THE BOY WITH THE TOPKNOT, on the other hand, won the Festival Medal for Drama Special at the New York Festival of Film & Television and the Race & Ethnicity Scripted Award at the MIPCOM TV Excellence Awards in Cannes.
Lynsey's first piece for television, LIZARD GIRL, won a Children's BAFTA and The Japan Prize, solidifying her reputation as a talented and accomplished filmmaker.
