Biography

Luisa Ferida embarked on a theatrical career, initially making her mark on the silver screen with a supporting role in La Freccia d'oro (1935). As her photogenic features and remarkable acting abilities garnered attention, she swiftly transitioned to leading parts towards the end of the 1930s.

During her time working on An Adventure of Salvator Rosa (1939),directed by the renowned Alessandro Blasetti, Ferida had the opportunity to meet Osvaldo Valenti. The pair developed a romantic relationship, and subsequently, they welcomed a son into the world. Valenti, who had been associated with numerous high-ranking Fascist officials and personalities for years, unfortunately found himself on the partisans' hit list as a result.

In April 1945, Valenti was arrested in Milan, alongside a pregnant Ferida. The pair was subsequently sentenced to execution and was shot on the spot in the street.
