Luis Enrique Rodriguez Ramos, a renowned director and producer, was born in Barrio La Aldea, Bayamón, Puerto Rico. With a career spanning 24 years, he has dedicated 15 years to the advertising and film industries. His journey began when he was accepted into the School of Communications at the University of Puerto Rico in 1992.
During his studies, he was assigned a group project to create a music video for his film class. Although he was not chosen as the director, he was voted producer, marking the start of his early production career. This project allowed him to network and make connections in the industry, leading to the creation of short films with his college team.
Rodriguez Ramos' early career consisted of working as a production assistant on commercials and as a production coordinator. He continued to produce and edit, but his true passion was directing. After several years, he established his own production house, where he began directing and producing content.
His feature film directorial debut, Por Amor en el Caserío (2013),was an urban film that tackled social themes and received positive reviews. His second film, Dos Caminos (2017),was released soon after, and he is set to direct his third feature film by early 2018. Throughout his career, he has worked on various projects, including commercials, documentaries, and other content.
For Rodriguez Ramos, the greatest inspiration for shooting a film is to tell stories that people will love, react to, and experience as a motion picture. His passion for photography helps him develop a unique visual communication style, which complements his focus on the visual aspect, acting, and direction to create well-rounded films that educate and entertain audiences.
