At the tender age of fifteen, she embarked on a profound journey in theatre studies, dedicating seven illustrious years to the esteemed LeeStrasberg Theatre Institute in New York. This rigorous foundation laid the groundwork for her subsequent academic pursuits, as she went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Furthermore, she demonstrated her academic versatility by minoring in both cinema studies and Italian literature during her time at NYU.
Upon graduating, she was awarded an Assistant Fellowship in medieval Italian poetry at NYU's Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò, a testament to her intellectual curiosity and linguistic aptitude.
Her theatrical exploits began at the tender age of six, and she has since honed her craft in a multitude of mediums, including theatre, cinema, and television. One notable highlight was her appearance alongside Christy Turlington in an American Lung Association anti-smoking public service announcement for MTV.
Her cinematic endeavors include a role as the infamous Italian cousin Chiara in Spike Lee's "Summer of Sam," opposite Mira Sorvino and John Leguizamo. This collaboration would later extend to a European Finlandia Vodka commercial, once again under the direction of Spike Lee.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, she is also a visionary entrepreneur, having founded her own production company, Calabrisella Films. Her directorial debut, the short film "A pena do pana (The Cost of Bread)," boasts an impressive cast, including the internationally acclaimed Vincent Schiavelli. This cinematic masterpiece premiered at AFI Fest in Hollywood, has been showcased in over 20 international film festivals, and has garnered the prestigious award of Best Digital Short Film at the Rome Independent Film Festival.
