Born Lucas Finnian McHugh Carroll, Lucas is the youngest of five children, including twin brothers Leo and Noah, older brothers Vincent and Xavier, and only sister Tori. Growing up on the southwest shores of Michigan, across the lake from Chicago, Lucas has been surrounded by the beauty of nature and the excitement of the city.
Lucas's passion for acting began at a young age, when his older siblings were cast in a Yoga Kids video. He eagerly watched the filming process and was hooked. At just four years old, Lucas met with an agent and declared, "I'm going to be in movies!" The agent agreed and became his agent that day.
Since then, Lucas has enjoyed acting in theater, commercials, voiceovers, and film. In 2007, he landed a leading role in The Informant! (2009),directed by Steven Soderbergh, playing the son of Matt Damon's character. Upon meeting Luke, Matt Damon exclaimed, "You really do look like my son!" Lucas has also had the opportunity to play leading roles in many community theater productions, including Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet and Benjamin in Joseph.
In addition to his acting career, Lucas is a talented voice actor, having done voice narration for children's videos and worked on student films at Northwestern University. In 2013, he played a refugee in Noah (2014).
Outside of acting, Lucas is an active and adventurous young man who enjoys participating in various sports, including soccer, cross-country, sailing, and skiing. He is also the captain of his school's chess team. At the age of eleven, Lucas was chosen to travel to Costa Rica as a U.S. delegate with 48 children from around the world for a peace organization, Children's International Summer Village.
Lucas attends a Montessori Elementary school founded by his mother and aunt, where he is a strong student. He looks forward to high school and his next big role.
