Biography

Luca Palanca, a talented individual born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, was one of four boys to Italian immigrant parents. Growing up in his neighborhood, his friends and family already recognized his exceptional abilities, but it wasn't until he landed the lead role in the off-Broadway play "Tony and Tina's Wedding" that others took notice. He spent almost two years playing Tony, honing his improv comedy skills.

As his passion for comedy grew, Luca began performing stand-up in clubs across the country, captivating audiences with his witty attitude. He then made the move to Los Angeles, where he established himself as a comedian, performing at renowned venues such as The "World Famous" Comedy Store, The Improv, and The Laugh Factory.

Luca's talent didn't go unnoticed, and he went on to write and star in a short film called "Choose Life," which premiered at the 2001 Sundance film festival to great acclaim. He then appeared in leading roles in the Jason Priestly movies "Zigs" and "Double Down." Luca was proud to be cast in the late Bruno Kirby's last film, "Played," alongside Gabriel Byrne and Val Kilmer.

The comedian, actor, and writer then wrote and starred in the feature film "Made in Brooklyn," a collection of four neighborhood stories. Luca wore multiple hats during the film's production, serving as producer, actor, and director. The movie features several well-known comedians and cast members from the hit TV series "The Sopranos." "Made in Brooklyn" is scheduled for a 2007 theatrical release.

In addition to his acting work, Luca has become a recurring character on the MTV series "Short Circuitz" and starred in the film "Gerald" alongside Louis Mandylor.

Luca has also produced the award-winning film "Break" and serves as an executive producer on the Discovery Channel series "Flipped" and the WETV series "A Standup Mother."

Continuing to push himself creatively, Luca is currently working on the inspired-by-actual-events movie "Ball" as he travels the world, performing comedy stages.
