Biography

Bonnie Jeanne Stevenson, one of the pioneering contract players at Walt Disney Studios, first captivated audiences in the iconic film "Song of the South" (1946) as a poor white child enthralled by the enchanting tales told by the endearing Uncle Remus. As a child star, she went on to make numerous film appearances, before temporarily hanging up her acting boots for a period of eight years.

However, Bonnie Jeanne's passion for the craft eventually led her back to the silver screen, where she resumed her career as a lovely ingénue in the 1956 film "Rock, Pretty Baby!" Following this comeback, she continued to appear in a string of films and television episodes, solidifying her status as a talented and versatile actress.

Ultimately, Bonnie Jeanne brought her remarkable Hollywood journey to a close at the end of 1970, although she did make a brief, yet memorable, cameo appearance in the 1987 film "Grotesque", proving that even in retirement, her allure and charm remained unwavering.
