Lu Han is a Chinese singer and actor, born on April 20, 1990, in Haidian, Beijing, where he grew up with a strong foundation in education, graduating from Beijing Shida Middle School and attending Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Shi Yan School before taking a bold step to leave for South Korea to attend Yonsei University as an exchange student, where he majored in Applied Music at the Seoul Institute of the Arts.
Lu Han's journey in the entertainment industry began in 2008, when he unsuccessfully auditioned for JYP Entertainment at their global audition in China. However, his persistence and determination led him to be scouted while studying in Seoul, by an S.M. Entertainment representative, who recognized his potential and recommended he audition for the company. After becoming a trainee under the agency, Lu Han started his career as a member of the South Korean-Chinese band EXO, and its subgroup EXO-M, under S.M. Entertainment in South Korea and Avex Trax in Japan.
In October 2014, Luhan made the bold decision to follow in the footsteps of his band-mate, Kris Wu, and filed a lawsuit to terminate his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, marking a new chapter in his career as he returned to China to pursue his goals in his homeland.
