Lou Mulford, a talented actress and writer, was born in North Carolina and spent her formative years in Virginia, where she graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Art/Education. During her time at the college, she was an integral part of the theatre department, taking on numerous roles in productions such as "As You Like It" and "And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little", impressing audiences with her portrayals of Rosalind and Fleur Stein.
Following her college days, Lou was cast in the iconic production of "The Lost Colony" and soon after, she made the move to Los Angeles at the behest of choreographer and director Joe Layton. With over 30 years of industry experience, Lou has worked in a variety of mediums, including commercials, film, television, and the stage.
Taking a hiatus from her film and television career to raise her daughters from 1987 to 2007, Lou returned to the industry with a renewed sense of purpose. Her extensive list of credits includes notable roles in "History of the World Part I", "Voyagers", "ER", "Sale of the Century", "Mad Men", "Leverage", "Cougar Town", and "NCIS".
In 2012, Lou made a lasting impression with her emotional performance as the crying mother with daughter in the Verizon Mother's Day ad. Additionally, she wrote, produced, and starred in her comedic short film "Invasion of the Money $natcher$", which is set to air on ShortsTV in August 2014.
Lou currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two lovable rescue mutts, where she continues to pursue her passion for the arts.
