Biography

Lorrie was born on January 16, 1961, in Ada, Oklahoma, to JC Carroll, a general contractor, and Jera Carroll, a homemaker. She is the eldest of five daughters.

Her entry into the world of acting began with a "How To Audition" class in 2009, and since then, she has continued to take acting courses and workshops, earning her SAG eligibility. Lorrie's most notable roles include Nurse Mellie, the Laughing Nurse, in comedian Tig Notaro's series pilot "One Mississippi," as well as Nurse Lydia in the true-story film "Gosnell."

In addition to these notable roles, Lorrie has also booked parts in the films "The Paperboy," starring Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Zac Efron, and Macy Gray, as well as "Pitch Perfect 2." Although neither of these roles made the final cut, Lorrie has found success in her character roles and comedy, which comes naturally to her. She has also found herself drawn to gritty roles, which she finds captivating.

Lorrie is represented by The Tabb Agency in Oklahoma, Trinity Talent Agency in Louisiana and Georgia, and Linda McAlister Talent elsewhere in the United States.
