Angelito Castro Anzures, also known as Lito, was born in 1927 to Felix Anzures and Juliana Castro.

He began his education at the Marcelo H. del Pilar Elementary School, where he laid the foundation for his future academic achievements.

Angelito continued his secondary education at the prestigious Bulacan Academy in Bulacan, a notable institution that shaped his intellectual growth.

As an aspiring actor, he adopted the nickname "Lito" for his film endeavors, and his acting career spanned over several decades.

His film debut was in Halik Sa Bandila in 1948, followed by a string of successful films, including Sigaw ng Digmaan in 1963, Tanging Ikaw in 1968, Sorrento in 1968, Romantika in 1970, Mga Anghel na Walang Langit in 1970, Ang Kampana ng Santa Quiteria in 1971, Daluyong at Habagat in 1976, and Ibilanggo Si Nene Magtanggol in 1977.

Angelito's good looks and dramatic flair made him a sought-after actor, and he appeared in seven films alongside the renowned Fernando Poe Jr., including Sigaw ng Digmaan, Tanging Ikaw, Sorrento, Ang Pagbabalik ni Daniel Barron in 1968, Asedillo in 1971, Agila ng Maynila in 1989, and Wanted: Pamilya Banal in 1989.

In 1963, Angelito received the Best Supporting Actor award from the Film Academy of Movie Arts & Sciences (FAMAS) for his performance in Sigaw ng Digmaan, an irony given that his first starring role was not supporting.

He received subsequent Best Supporting Actor citations from Star Awards and Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (MANUNURI) for his role in Paradise Inn in 1985.

After a slew of supporting actor nominations and awards, Angelito was finally nominated as Best Actor for Ang Pinakamandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa in 1974 by FAMAS.

Angelito Castro Anzures, a talented actor with a long and illustrious career, left an indelible mark on the Philippine film industry.
