Biography

Lisa J Dooley, the middle child of a large Midwestern family, quickly discovered that to stand out from the crowd, one must be unafraid to take center stage. Following her studies in acting at New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, Lisa honed her craft by performing at the renowned Second City and creating engaging videos for Cracked.com. She also experimented with stunts, before ultimately finding her true calling in filmmaking, which allowed her to utilize her diverse skills to their fullest potential.

Lisa went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California's esteemed School of Cinematic Arts. Her impressive body of work has garnered numerous awards, including accolades in Directing, Production Design, and Sound Design. Furthermore, she has had the opportunity to work in the Art Department of the popular Fox series '9-1-1: Lone Star'.

As a writer-director, Lisa's work has been recognized at several prominent film festivals, including Shriekfest, Mile High Horror, and Grimmfest UK, among others. Her most recent thriller, The Lonely Host, was released on YouTube's premier horror channel, Alter. Additionally, her feature script, The Derby, was named a finalist at Shriekfest 2021, solidifying her position as a rising talent in the world of horror filmmaking.
