Linda Asuma, a woman of international heritage, was born in Okinawa, Japan, to a Finnish-American father and a Vietnamese mother. Her father's military career meant that she spent her childhood relocating frequently throughout the United States and Europe, providing her with a unique and diverse upbringing.

As she entered her teenage years, Linda made the decision to return to Japan, where she began her career in the entertainment industry as a model and commercial actress.
