Biography

Linas Phillips, a talented individual, began his career as a live performer of experimental theater and alternative comedy in New York City, where he graduated from New York University's Experimental Theater Wing.

Prior to pursuing a career in film, Linas spent over five years working as a babysitter for special needs children, during which time he started creating short videos with his young charges.

After years of honing his craft in the city that never sleeps, Linas transitioned to filmmaking in 2006, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his creative journey.

His debut film, "Walking To Werner", a documentary chronicling his 1,200-mile walk from Seattle to Los Angeles to meet the renowned filmmaker Werner Herzog, earned him recognition as one of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces in Independent Film.

Linas' subsequent feature, "Bass Ackwards", which he wrote, acted in, and directed, premiered at the prestigious 2010 Sundance Film Festival, solidifying his reputation as a rising talent in the independent film scene.

In addition to his film work, Linas has also made appearances on television, including a guest role in the critically acclaimed series Eastbound and Down, and is set to star alongside Jay Duplass in the upcoming film "Manson Family Vacation", written and directed by J. Davis.
